EN9100 certification
tbp electronics is awarded EN9100
certification for the aeronautics industry
Geel, Belgium, 5th July 2010 - tbp electronics, a leading Benelux Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider of end-to-end product lifecycle solutions, has been awarded EN9100 quality accreditation for the aeronautical industry.
The EN9100 certification is recognized internationally and confirms that tbp electronics’ production and operational systems meet the quality standards of the aeronautics industry. Based on ISO 9000 requirements, the EN9100 applies to every domain of the aeronautical industry, whether civil or military, and is a basic requirement demanded by all aeronautic manufacturers from their suppliers.
“The EN9100 is a testament to the high standards that we uphold within the EMS-industry and forms a key milestone in our strategic plan to develop a successful avionics and aerospace portfolio,” commented Bart Cox, Director Business Development at tbp electronics Belgium. “With our clear focus and expertise in complex and diverse end-to-end electronics assembly, which already includes a wide range of customers involved in medical and safety systems, telecommunication and other high technology industries, the EN9100 accreditation will present tbp with new and interesting opportunities. The EN9100 accreditation means that companies who were previously out of our business reach, such as Verhaert Space, Dassault Aviations and Thales Alenia Space, to name but a few, will now become accessible to tbp electronics”, concluded Cox.
The EN9100 certification audit was carried out by Bureau Veritas and the scope of the EN9100 certificate awarded to tbp electronics covers the following areas of activity:
Integrated electronics manufacturing service provider (EMS), including design, component management, prototyping, production volumes, configuration management, test, repair and logistics services of printed board assemblies (PBA) and modules for aerospace, medical and safety systems, telecommunication and other high technology industries.
